CarsJudge AI

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 9 September 2026

CarsJudge AI helps you look after your cars. This policy explains what we collect, why, who it goes to, and how to get rid of it. It covers the CarsJudge AI mobile app and this website.

Information you give us

  • Account: your email address, and your name if you provide one.
  • Your vehicles: year, make, model, trim, mileage, VIN and licence plate if you enter them, plus the service history and costs you record.
  • Documents: photographs or files you upload to your vehicle wallet, such as insurance cards, registrations, invoices and warranties.
  • Photos: pictures of vehicles you take for assessments or Car Lens.
  • Voice messages: audio you record for your in-app agent. This is the only use of the microphone; it is never recorded in the background, and only while you are actively recording a message.
  • Messages: what you write to your agent, and the replies.
  • Shipping address: only if you ask the agent to order a part for you.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage: which features you open, so we can tell what is worth building.
  • Device: device model, operating system version and app version, for diagnostics.
  • Approximate location: only when you ask for something nearby, such as a garage or a tow. It is used for that request and not stored as a history of your movements.

Data sent to AI providers

Some features work by sending your data to an AI provider that processes it on our behalf, under our instructions. Specifically:

  • Vehicle photos, for assessments and Car Lens.
  • Vehicle details you enter, for assessments and maintenance predictions.
  • Messages you send to your agent, and documents you send it to read.
  • Voice messages, sent for transcription. The recording is stored so you can play it back, and is deleted when you delete your account.

These providers act as our service providers. They process this data to return a result to you, not for their own purposes, and we do not sell your data to anyone.

Payments

Subscriptions and any parts you ask the agent to buy are processed by Stripe, or by Apple or Google on their own stores. We never see or store your card number. Card details are entered in the payment provider's own secure sheet, and we receive only a token and the last four digits so you can recognise which card is on file.

How we use your data

  • To run the features you asked for — assessments, reminders, your document wallet, your agent.
  • To send you notifications you have enabled, such as an expiring document or an upcoming appointment.
  • To keep the service working, and to diagnose faults.

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not build profiles of you for third parties.

Deleting your data

You can delete your account from inside the app, under Settings. Deleting your account removes your profile, vehicles, service history, documents, messages and any files you uploaded, including photographs and voice recordings. Some records we are required to keep for legal or accounting reasons — payment records, for example — are retained for as long as the law requires.

You can also ask us to delete your data by emailing support@carsjudge.ai, or use the delete account page.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Documents and voice recordings are held in private storage that only your account can read.

Children

CarsJudge AI is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
